Anti Black Friday

Coming up within the next few days we have some of the most popular holidays of the year. And no, it's not the Christmas holidays or anything like that.
I'm talking about Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

Because everyone loves a bargain, right?
Well, here's the problem in that, and why
we here at Beyond the Horizon won't be taking part. First of all, it encourages an absolutely insane level of consumerism on a single day of the year, leading many people to overindulge beyond what they can afford.
Secondly, many companies engage in a shady business of raising their prices shortly before Black Friday hits, so that when they lower the price back to its normal level, it'll look as if the customers are getting a better deal than they actually are.
We do not believe in that particular type of behavior here. While we'd obviously like for you to pick up our books and products, we want you to understand that the price we set is because we believe that the price is what it's worth. More importantly, we want it to actually MEAN something when we set a discount on something we sell. It HAS to be an offer, AND for a good reason, not just because it's the last Friday of November.
So instead, we're doing a REVERSE Black Friday this year. For one day only, we're increasing all our prices to double what they normally are. Want something we sell, you can either wait till the day after, or help support us - we'd love for the extra support, but it is not something we're going to encourage. We'd recommend that you wait till the Saturday after, where the price returns to normal once more. :)
